The horses are off and running at beautiful Belmont Park!

The season kicks of at 1:00 pm with the 79th running of the Grade III $100,000 Westchester Handicap.

Preakness Stakes Simulcast

Triple Crown intrigue builds with the Preakness , the race that sets the stage for our own Belmont Stakes. Every bit of the action from Pimlico will be simulcast to Belmont Park , providing added thrills to a live card topped by the Grade II Shuvee.

What’s more American than a Fourth of July weekend at the park…and how many parks offer as much as Belmont Park! We’ll be cooking up everything you need for a backyard barbecue. The stakes will sizzle, four of them in fact - the First Flight and the Tom Fool on Friday, the Prioress on Saturday and the Dwyer on Sunday.


Sunset Racing Fridays

Starting June 13 - July 18

Make Friday afternoon’s 3:00 pm post time the official start to your summer weekend! Enjoy a casual Friday at Sunset Racing at Belmont Park !

Gates open 11 a.m. for simulcasts, no admission charged before 1 p.m.

  • 1st Race post time – 3:00 p.m.
  • Food and drink specials from 5 - 7 p.m. in the festival tent
  • Live concert series in the Festival Tent after the last race (approximately 7:15 )
