The MOTHER GOOSE is the second leg in the Triple Tiara; the series begins with the Acorn and concludes with the Coaching Club American Oaks, both run at Belmont Park. The Mother Goose is named after Harry Payne Whitney's filly who defeated the colts in the 1924 Futurity. She is one of only 13 fillies to have won the Futurity since it was first run in 1888.
The MOTHER GOOSE was run at a mile and a sixteenth in 1957 and 1958. Run at Aqueduct from 1963 to 1967, in 1969, and in 1975.
