The historic village of SLEEPY HOLLOW is located on the east bank of the Hudson River at the entrance to the Tappan Zee Bridge about 25 miles north of New York City. The village gained added notoriety as the one of the principal sites in Washington Irving’s work, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” the tale about Ichahod Crane.

The SLEEPY HOLLOW was run at the distance of a mile and a sixteenth in 1994. The distance was changed to one mile in 1995. Run at Aqueduct in 1996.
