Thursday, July 26: Angel Cordero Jr. Bobble Head Doll Giveaway Day The bobble head tradition returns to Saratoga, but this year features a twist in a tribute to the legendary, hall of fame jockey Angel Cordero, Jr., Saratoga’s leading rider for thirteen years. The miniature Cordero will come in two varieties: the standard Saratoga Race Course model (red and white silks) and a limited edition model featuring Cordero in purple silks. The limited edition model will be available to fans on a random basis. The Cordero doll is free with paid admission, while supplies last. Cordero will join the ranks of trainer Todd Pletcher, Sam the Bugler and jockeys John Velazquez, Edgar Prado and Jerry Bailey, all of whom have been immortalized at Saratoga with their own commemorative bobble head doll.
