Spring/Summer ticket availability schedule released; grandstand admission price on Belmont Stakes Day unchanged

Tickets to the 146th running of the Grade 1, $1.5 million Belmont Stakes, the third jewel of thoroughbred racing's Triple Crown, will be available for purchase beginning March 31, The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) announced today.

Aqueduct Earns Re-Accreditation from NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance

The National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) today announced that Aqueduct Racetrack has earned re-accreditation from the NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance. Located in New York City's Borough of Queens, the track is in the midst of its 79-day Winter/Spring Meet, which runs through April 27 and is highlighted by Wood Memorial Day on April 5.

Thoroughbred owner-breeder Richard Bomze dies at 76

Richard Bomze, past president of the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association and the owner-breeder of champion New York-bred brothers Fourstardave and Fourstars Allstar, died Tuesday evening at his home in Hollywood, Fla. He was 76.

First race on Wood Memorial Day moved up to 1:00 p.m.

Post time for the first race at Aqueduct Racetrack on April 5, Wood Memorial Day, will be 1 p.m., with the Grade 1, $1 million Wood Memorial scheduled for 5:40 p.m. The Wood Memorial will air live, along with the Santa Anita Derby, on an NBC Sports Network "Road to the Kentucky Derby" telecast scheduled for 5:30-7 p.m. (ET)
