The NYRA Network, which features live coverage from Aqueduct Racetrack, Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course as well as simulcasting from around the country, will move to Channel 1994 from its current position on Channel 71 on Time Warner Cable beginning March 6.

NYRA’s channel 71 is part of a group of channels operated by NYC Media, New York City’s media network. NYC Media operates four television channels: NYC Life, NYC Gov, NYC Drive and NYC World. Together, these channels currently occupy channels 71 through 75 on the Time Warner channel lineup. Time Warner has, at their own discretion, decided to move the block of NYC Media channels to channels 1994 through 1998. As such, the NYRA Network’s programming will be relocated to this channel.

Many Time Warner Cable customers currently do not have access to the upper range of channels which includes channel 1994. Time Warner Cable has assured us that once digital programming is completed on March 6, this channel will be available to subscribers.

Racing fans who subscribe to Verizon FIOS can continue to watch The NYRA Network on Channel 27.

Following live racing from NYRA tracks, The NYRA Network Presents Racenite offers simulcasting, with coverage ending with the conclusion of racing at Yonkers Raceway. On dark days, NYRA broadcasts The NYRA Network Presents Raceday, which airs from noon to 6 p.m.
