The Stewards' Corner
Welcome to the Stewards’ Corner, where you will find explanations of the decisions that our stewards make on race days. Directly following any decision they make having to do with the official order of finish, including inquiries and objections, the stewards – one appointed by The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA), one appointed by the New York State Gaming Commission, and one appointed by The Jockey Club (TJC) – provide an explanation of what happened and the reason for their decision. Race Decisions - March 27, 2014
Race 9: Stewards inquiry in the vicinity of the 3 /16 pole # 2 Camp Floyd (T. McCarthy) appeared to clip the heals of the # 4 Kissed and Missed(I Beato). After reviewing the video the # 2 Camp Floyd in behind # 4 Kissed and Missed and # 9 Sir Warbo(E. Esquivel) takes a step out and appeared to clip the heals of # 4. The stewards found no action was warranted. The race is official as is.
