Live and simulcast racing at Aqueduct has been cancelled for Friday, March 16, 2007.

The decision was made to cancel on Thursday afternoon when an ominous forecast for snow and ice was called for Thursday night and Friday.

According to Paul “P.J. Campo, the New York Racing Association’s racing secretary and handicapper, the live races scheduled for Friday will be brought back as extra races during the coming week.

Fans can still bet other tracks on Friday through their NYRA Telebet account.

Racing will resume on Saturday afternoon, with first-race post time of 1 p.m. Eastern.
