ZACCHEUS (2yo bay colt, Hard Spun—Regally Appealing, by Valid Appeal) hails from a family of juvenile stakes winner, with his dam having won the Grade 2 Adirondack and listed Kentucky Cup Juvenile Fillies. Regal Miss Copelan, a half-sister to Regally Appealing, won the Colleen for 2-year-old fillies before going on to produce Grade 2 Remsen and Grade 3 Nashua victor Rockport Harbor. Regally Appealing has produced four winners from seven other foals of racing age, including Street Brawl, an unbeaten colt who has won a pair of starts at Aqueduct and Belmont impressively so far in his brief career.

Carson Jen, a stakes-placed half-sister to their dam, has produced A Z Warrior, heroine of the Grade 1 Frizette; J Z Warrior, who captured five stakes and was Grade 3-placed; and E Z Warrior, victorious in the Grade 3 Hollywood Juvenile and third in the Grade 1 King’s Bishop. Sayaad was the most expensive of nine weanlings by Street Sense to sell at auction in 2010.

BOSS MAN ROCKET (2yo dark bay/brown colt, War Front—Henna, by Horse Chestnut) is the first foal of his dam, an unraced half-sister to multiple Grade 1 winner Pomeroy. As a juvenile, Pomeroy was second in the Grade 2 Saratoga Special and returned to Saratoga the following year to win the Grade 1 King’s Bishop. At 4, he won Saratoga’s Grade 2 Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap, then came back to the Spa at 5 to take the Grade 1 Forego. Boss Man Rocket is the most expensive 2-year-old by his sire to sell at public auction from three crops.

Hurricane Bertie, a half-sister to Missamericanbertie, won the Grade 2 Prioress and two other graded stakes and was third in the Grade 1 Ballerina. Invocation, Carried Interest’s lone sibling of racing age, was second by two lengths in a maiden special weight on Saturday at Belmont.

Two other siblings to Beduin Eyes, Classic Alliance and Prime Ruler, were stakes placed at 2 before going on to win black-type events later in their careers. Swiftly Classic, another half-sibling to Beduin Eyes, produced Sky Mom, who was third in the Grade 3 Pocahontas for juvenile fillies and later won the Grade 3 Arlington Oaks.
