RUBY LIPS (2yo chestnut filly, Hard Spun—Its a Ruby, by Rubiano) is a half-sister to three runners with black type who raced primarily or exclusively at Woodbine. Like a Gem was a winner on dirt at 2 and 3 before going on to win Woodbine stakes on dirt and Polytrack at 4. Another, Win and Reign, won a juvenile race for Ontario-breds on Polytrack. Cool Gator, while not a stakes winner, was third in the Grade 3 Grey for 2-year-olds and the Grade 3 Skip Away for older horses. Their dam is a half-sister to three stakes winners, including Grade 1 Young America winner Firery Ensign.

One of her foals, Like a Dream, has won three claiming races, while The Bear Vow, who remains a maiden, was runner-up in Woodbine’s Colin Stakes for 2-year-olds in his second start. Fashion Girl, a daughter of Grade 2 winner Ransomed Captive, is a half-sister to Shepherd’s Field, who took the Grade 2 Norfolk for juveniles.

Discreet Dancer, a full-brother, debuted a 9 ¾-length winner late in his 2-year-old season and was third in this year’s Grade 2 Fountain of Youth. Travelin Man, a half-brother, won last year’s Grade 2 Swale and this year’s Sir Shackleton.
