The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) Board of Directors appointed an interim management team for the organization at its meeting on Monday. Glen Kozak (Vice President of Facilities and Racing Surfaces), David O’Rourke (Vice President of Corporate Development), and Susanne Stover (Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer) shall serve as the interim management team until the new NYRA Chief Executive Officer is installed.
Meeting in Manhattan, the Board heard an update on the CEO search from Chair David Skorton revealing that the Executive Search Committee and search firm RSR Partners continue the screening process and soon will begin interviewing candidates.
“We’re making progress and we expect that soon we’ll be able to bring finalists before the Nominations and Governance Committee, followed by the full Board,” Skorton said. “Until that decision is made, I look forward to working with the interim management team and members of the full Board to ensure progress and appropriate stewardship.”
The Board also heard a report from the Nominations and Governance Committee and voted to approve the minutes of the Board meeting held on April 11, 2013.
All materials discussed and reviewed during the Board’s meetings, replays of past meetings, and a list of Board members are available here.
