The New York Racing Association (NYRA), operators of leading thoroughbred tracks Belmont Park, Saratoga Racecourse and Aqueduct, has launched the internet wagering feature of NYRA Rewards, its cash-back account wagering program. NYRA announced today that the system is fully operational following a live test this past weekend. NYRA Rewards members who are New York State residents can make quick and secure internet wagers, access real-time wagering data, get cash rewards based on their volume of play, and choose from a daily wagering menu that features NYRA’s own renowned racing product and an array of leading simulcast tracks found together on no other internet wagering site. NYRA Rewards is the only internet wagering program that offers Magna/Churchill exclusive tracks (including Pimlico, Churchill Downs, and Santa Anita), TVG exclusive tracks (including Keeneland, Del Mar, Monmouth and others) and independent tracks such as Suffolk Downs, Philadelphia Park, Colonial Downs and others. “The official release of this eagerly anticipated online wagering product is a tremendous victory for the State of New York. Our thoroughbred racing fans deserve unfettered wagering access and the New York Racing Association has delivered,” said NYRA President and CEO Charles Hayward. “Wagers placed through NYRA Rewards generate the highest financial return to NYRA, to purses, to breeder awards, and to the State. The NYRA Rewards program operates in the best interests of racing and for the collective benefit of all thoroughbred industry participants.” NYRA Rewards offers a cash-back incentive based on an individual’s wagering activity. Members are able to earn cash rewards whether they wager on-track at self-service terminals or off-track either by telephone, using NYRA TELEBET, or via the Internet at NYRA.com. NYRA Rewards is open for wagering seven days a week, does not charge any wagering transaction fees or require customers to maintain a minimum balance.
