Buffum

The progeny of Bernardini created a lot of buzz in the sales ring as yearlings, with three selling for over $1 million. One member of that trio, Buffum, has joined the New York Watch, which profiles up-and-comers that have recently cleared the maiden ranks at Aqueduct, Belmont Park, and Saratoga, after winning his debut today at Belmont.

Uncle Mo

Repole Stable maintained a 12-7 lead in the Saratoga owner standings going into the final eight days of racing, so it’s all too appropriate Uncle Mo is the name of the operation’s latest impressive 2-year-old winner.

More Than Real

Chad Brown sent out eventual multiple stakes winner Maram to a debut victory going long on the turf at Saratoga two years ago, and the trainer has good reason to think big things are also in store for More Than Real following a first-out victory on Saturday at the Spa.

Summer Laugh

Nine years ago, a 3-year-old filly named Summer Colony broke her maiden by 32 ¾ lengths in her seventh start, an off the turf event at Saratoga Race Course. The Edward P.
