Carlos’ grandfather, Frank “Pancho” Martin won 15 New York training titles and was inducted into the Horse Racing Hall of Fame in 1981.

Career Highlights:

  • 2002: Roar Emotion won the G2 Demoiselle at Aqueduct.
  • 1995: Thunder Achiever won the 1995 NY-bred 2yo filly championship
  • 1991: At the age of 22, Carlos became the youngest trainer to win a Grade 1 in New York when Buy The Firm, a former claimer, won the Top Flight Handicap at Aqueduct.
