Forbes’ Firsters is a series that takes a glance at the pedigrees and sales histories of select 2-year-olds who are making their debuts in maiden special weight races at Aqueduct Racetrack, Belmont Park, or Saratoga Race Course. Many of history’s best horses have commenced their careers in New York, and Forbes’ Firsters will help fans find the stars of tomorrow as they head postward for the first time.

ZINDAYA (dark bay or brown filly, More Than Ready—Aristocratic Lady, by Kris S.) is the second foal out of her dam to race, the other being Western Aristocrat, who won the Grade 1 Jamaica Handicap on the turf and was Grade 3-placed in England. Aristocratic Lady won on turf in France and on dirt in the United States.

ALMURRA (bay filly, by Street Cry—Alwajeeha, by Dixieland Band) is out of her dam, who captured the Grade 1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup and Grade 3 Appalachian on the turf. Her only other foal to race, Elmutahid, has one win in seven starts and is winless in four grass tries.

A LITTLE BIT SASSY (dark bay/brown filly, More Than Ready—Miss A. Bomb, by Lemon Drop Kid) is the first foal out of her dam, who won sprint stakes at Presque Isle Downs and Turfway Park. Miss A. Bomb is a daughter of listed stakes winner and Grade 3-placed sprinter Aerturas, making her a half-sister to multiple graded stakes-placed Cargo, the dam of Grade 1 Preakness winner Red Bullet.
