Welcome to the Stewards’ Corner, where you will find explanations of the decisions that our stewards make on race days. Directly following any decision they make having to do with the official order of finish, including inquiries and objections, the stewards – one appointed by The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA), one appointed by the New York State Gaming Commission, and one appointed by The Jockey Club (TJC) – provide an explanation of what happened and the reason for their decision. Race Decisions - July 24, 2014
Race 10: Steward Inquiry into the first turn: # 8 All Over Me (Rosie Napravnik) is rank going into the first turn and bears out sharply carrying # 4 Bapu (Junior Alvarado) very wide as well. # 8 settles down the backstretch and goes on to win.
# 4 tires in the stretch and finishes a distant 8th. In the judgment of the steward’s, no action was warranted and the race was declared Official as is.
