Chad Brown, the 2016 Eclipse Award-winning trainer, is the latest guest on Across the Board with Andy Serling, presented by the New York Racing Association, now available for download.
Brown talked with Serling on Friday, November 17 at Aqueduct Racetrack to discuss his recent trip to Del Mar Thoroughbred Club for the Breeders' Cup, where he won the Juvenile with Good Magic and the Juvenile Filly Turf with Rushing Fall. Brown was one of only two trainers to win multiple Breeders Cup races in 2017.
The pair also discussed his upbringing and introduction to the game growing up in Mechanicville, New York only 15 miles from Saratoga Race Course, his career and potential plans for multiple Grade 1 winner Lady Eli. Brown also talked about his time spent as an assistant to Hall of Famer Bobby Frankel and his ascent to becoming one of the top leading trainers in the country.
Brown earned the Eclipse Award for Outstanding Trainer in 2016 and has been the leading trainer at every fall meet at Belmont Park since 2012. He has also won back-to-back training titles for the Spring/Summer meet title at Belmont Park and won leading trainer at Saratoga Race Course in 2016. At 39, Brown has already compiled wins in 10 Breeders' Cup Races and captured his first career Triple Crown race with Cloud Computing in the Preakness this year.
