by Patrick Kobel
The New York Racing Association (NYRA) is now accepting applications for 2019 yearly press credentials. Visit credentials.nyra.com for full details and to complete all applications.
Please note:
- Yearly credentials are limited in number and are not valid for Belmont Stakes week.
- Preference is given to members of the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters Association, as well as to professional journalists who frequently cover thoroughbred horse racing and whose primary purpose is professional news gathering, professional news dissemination and professional news reporting.
- Requests for yearly press credentials must be made by a news director, assignment director, managing editor, photo editor, station manager, station owner or other senior-level representative of a professional news organization, attesting that the designee will be frequently covering NYRA events on behalf of said professional news organization.
- Individual requests for yearly press credentials will not be accepted by the NYRA press office and will be returned with instructions to resubmit according to the procedures listed above.
Existing 2018 yearly media credentials which currently feature an expiration date of December 31, 2018 will continue to be honored and accepted by Peace Officers, NYRA security and by all other security personnel operating on, or operating within, jurisdiction on New York Racing Association properties through Friday, February 1, 2019.
