Saturday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a double Pick 6 carryover of $73,199 after the multi-race wager went unsolved for the second consecutive card on Friday’s nine-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $611 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
The sequence began in Race 4 with Notah [No. 4, $11.60] taking a seven-furlong claiming sprint for older horses with Jose Gomez up for trainer John Terranova. The Linda Rice-trained She’s Awesome [No. 6, $4*] prevailed as the mutuel favorite under Jose Lezcano in Race 5, a starter allowance sprint for older fillies and mares.
Royal Tryst [No. 6, $18.60], with Eliseo Ruiz up for owner-trainer Marcelo Arenas, surged up the rail to take a claiming sprint for older horses in Race 6, one race before the Joe Lee-trained Sandy’s Garden [No. 7, $6.80] provided jockey Dylan Davis his second win on the card in an allowance sprint for older state-bred fillies and mares.
Law Professor [No. 8, $7.90] dropped out of stakes company for the first time since November 2021 to take the Race 8 feature, a nine-furlong optional-claiming tilt, with Manny Franco aboard for trainer Rob Atras.
With six horses uncovered in the Race 9 finale, a maiden-claiming mile for older state-breds, October Bliss [No. 7, $24.80] put away Waflr in a spirited stretch run to trigger the carryover.
Saturday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 5 at 1:48 p.m. Eastern and features the Listed $150,000 Interborough in Race 9. First post on the 10-race card is 11:45 a.m.
