Triple Pick 6 carryover of $263,299 set for Wednesday at the Big A
On Sunday, the NYRA Bets Late Pick 5, covering the last five races of every card of live racing at NYRA tracks and available exclusively to NYRA Bets members across the country, went unsolved triggering a carryover of $37,290.
The Pick 6 sequence also went unsolved for the third consecutive day, leading to a triple carryover of $263,299 when live racing resumes on Wednesday, November 21 at Aqueduct Racetrack.
Sunday's Pick 6 sequence began in Race 3 as even-money favorite Stay Fond (No. 14, $4.30) won the opening leg. Shadwell Stable and trainer Kiaran McLaughlin followed in Race 4, the opening leg of the Late Pick 5, as Athwaaq (No. 5, $11.20) made her debut a winning one for her connections. In Race 5, Sheza Diva (No. 9, $32.20) pulled off the upset at odds of 15-1 for trainer Alejandro Maymo.
Flyoff (No. 1, $8.30) secured the victory in Race 6 and heavy 1-5 favorite Gold for the King (No. 7, $2.70) captured the day's feature, the $125,000 New York Stallion Series Thunder Rumble, in Race 7.
In the day's finale, 34-1 longshot Miss Mystique (No. 7, $71) bested 6-5 favorite Mentality, leading to carryovers for the NYRA Bets Late Pick 5 and Pick 6.
A consolation payout of $655 was awarded to bettors who had five of six winners in the Pick 6.
When live racing resumes on Wednesday, the NYRA Bets Late Pick 5 will begin in Race 5 with a post-time of 2:17 p.m. ET. The Pick 6 will begin in Race 4 with an approximate post of 1:47 p.m.
The day's feature race will be a New York-bred allowance optional-claiming event for 3-year-olds and up going six furlongs carded as Race 8.
