13-1 longshot leads to $19,376 Pick 6 Carryover
The NYRA Bets Late Pick 5, covering the last five races of every card at NYRA tracks and available exclusively to NYRA Bets members across the country, went unsolved on Sunday resulting in a carryover of $38,520 when live racing resumes on Thursday, January 31 at Aqueduct Racetrack.
The Pick 6 sequence also went unsolved on Sunday at the Big A, triggering a single-day carryover of $19,376.
In Race 4, Shalako (No. 4, $5.90) kicked off Sunday's Pick 6 sequence as the 9-5 second choice and Tribecca (No. 8, $6.30) followed in Race 5 to kick off the NYRA Bets Late Pick 5.
Tayler's the Boss (No. 5, $28) a 13-1 longshot, arrived in the final stride under Luis Reyes to win Race 6. Win With Pride (No. 3, $8.10) captured Race 7 leading into the feature race of the day, the $100,000 Ruthless, won by Ujjayi (No. 3, $13) under Tyler Conner.
In the day's finale, Abraxan (No. 8, $8.50) held off 8-5 mutuel favorite Princess Pinky, resulting in a carryover for the NYRA Bets Late Pick 5.
A consolation payout of $105.50 was awarded to bettors who had four of six winners in the Pick 6.
When live racing resumes on Thursday, the Pick 6 will begin in Race 3 with an approximate post of 1:55 p.m. The NYRA Bets Late Pick 5 will begin in Race 4 with a post time of 2:26 p.m. First post on Thursday's eight-race card is 12:50 p.m.
