11-1 longshot leads to $19,496 Pick 6 Carryover
The NYRA Bets Late Pick 5, covering the last five races of every card at NYRA tracks and available exclusively to NYRA Bets members across the country, went unsolved on Saturday resulting in a carryover of $42,511 when live racing resumes on Sunday, February 17 at Aqueduct Racetrack.
The Pick 6 sequence also went unsolved on Saturday at the Big A, triggering a single-day carryover of $19,496.
In Race 4, Cheatham Hill (No. 1, $6.50) kicked off Saturday's Pick 6 sequence as the 2-1 second choice followed by Samadi Sky (No. 2, $24.20) pulling off the upset in Race 5 to kick off the NYRA Bets Late Pick 5.
Beach Access (No. 11, $19) at odds of 8-1, held off Rockin Jo to win Race 6. Bon Raison (No. 1, $13) captured Race 7 leading into the feature race of the day, the $100,000 Broadway, won by Holiday Disguise (No. 3, $11.40) under Jose Lezcano for owner Lady Sheila Stable and Aqueduct winter meet leading trainer Linda Rice for her 27th win this meet.
In the day's finale, Bettor Bank On It (No. 4, $6.90) held off Dash for Dollars triggering a carryover for the NYRA Bets Late Pick 5.
A consolation payout of $6,458.50 was awarded to bettors who had five of six winners in the Pick 6.
When live racing resumes on Sunday, the Pick 6 will begin in Race 3 with an approximate post of 1:54 p.m. The NYRA Bets Late Pick 5 will begin in Race 4 with a post time of 2:27 p.m.
First post on Sunday's eight-race card is 12:50 p.m. and both carryover wagers will feature the $100,000 Haynesfield for New York-breds 4-years-old and up, carded as Race 7.
