Friday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $13,732 and a Late Pick 5 carryover of $117,310 after the multi-race wagers went unsolved on Thursday’s eight-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $2,288.50 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Thursday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 3 with the Patrick Reynolds-trained I’m Buzzy [No. 4, $4.90*] taking a six-furlong claiming sprint for fillies and mares with Eliseo Ruiz at the helm. Race 4, which commenced the Late Pick 5, saw Lincolnville Beach [No. 5, $11.60] post a six-furlong claiming victory with Manny Franco aboard for trainer Chris Englehart.
In Race 5, Morethanafeeling [No. 6, $47.20] shipped up from Parx Racing for trainer John Servis to post an upset score under Frankie Pennington in a one-mile state-bred allowance, one race before Risk Free [No. 5, $10] graduated at 21st asking in Race 6, seven-furlong maiden, with Jose Gomez up for trainer Edward DeLauro.
Isaac Castillo guided the David Jacobson-trained Starship Defiant [No. 1, $8.30] to win the featured Race 7, a six-furlong optional claimer for older fillies and mares. With just two horses covered in the final leg of the Pick 6 and five covered in the Late Pick 5, Katie Davis piloted Mysaria [No. 2, $74] to win Race 8, a state-bred maiden claiming sprint, for trainer Timothy Hills and trigger the carryovers.
Friday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 3 at 1:47 p.m. Eastern while the late Pick 5 begins in Race 4 at 2:17 p.m. First post on the eight-race card is 12:50 p.m.
