Friday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $15,143 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday’s eight-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $322 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
The sequence began in Race 3 with the John Kimmel-trained First Class Cat [No. 6, $4.20*] capturing a six-furlong claiming sprint with Dylan Davis in the irons. Race 4 saw the Michael Miceli-trained Rocket and Roll [No. 6, $5.30*] score in a nine-furlong claiming tilt for jockey Manny Franco’s second win on the card.
The Romero Maragh-piloted Lavon [No. 6, $83.50] provided the largest upset in the sequence when taking Race 5, a one-mile state-bred allowance, for trainer Marialice Coffey. In Race 6, the Bobby Ribaudo-trained Rhombique [No. 5, $10] delivered another mild upset in a 1 1/16-mile turf allowance under Hall of Famer Javier Castellano.
Davis landed his second win on the card in Race 7 aboard the Rob Falcone, Jr.-trained Lake Abanakee [No. 5, $6.40] in a six-furlong state-bred allowance.
With four horses covered in the final leg, Kant Call It [No. 6, $6.10*] triggered the carryover when winning Race 8, a six-furlong state-bred maiden on the turf, for trainer Christophe Clement. Franco was aboard for his third win on the afternoon.
Friday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 3 at 2:23 p.m. Eastern. First post on the eight-race card is 1:20 p.m.
