Pick 6 carryover of $19K into Saturday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack

Saturday’s lucrative Gotham Day card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $19,661 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday’s eight-race program.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $364 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

The sequence began in Race 3 with the Chad Brown-trained Upside Potential [No. 3, $6.10*] graduating in a six-furlong maiden claimer under Manny Franco. Natural Harbor [No. 5, $5.80*] followed in Race 4 with a six-furlong starter allowance score with Jose Lezcano in the irons for conditioner Linda Rice.

In Race 5, Katie Davis piloted Dreamawayseven [No. 6, $6.60] from off the pace to score a one-mile claiming victory for trainer Chris Englehart, one race before Rungius [No. 6, $19.20] went wire-to-wire to take Race 6, a 1 3/16-mile optional claimer, for trainer Bruce Levine with Ruben Silvera aboard.

Race 7 saw another upset as the David Jacobson-owned/trained Beachwalker [No. 1A, $18] captured the seven-furlong claiming sprint under Isaac Castillo.

With three horses left uncovered in the final leg, the Rudy Rodriguez-trained Kuchar [No. 4, $21.20] stormed home from off the pace to give Ruben Silvera a riding double and trigger the carryover in Race 8, a nine-furlong optional claimer.

Saturday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 5 at 3:01 p.m. Eastern and features the Listed $200,000 Busher in Race 7, the Listed $150,000 Stymie in Race 8, the Grade 3, $175,000 Tom Fool Handicap in Race 9, and the Grade 3, $300,000 Gotham in Race 10. First post on the 10-race card is 12:50 p.m.
