Saturday’s 10-race card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $26,614 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $130 to bettors who selected 4-of-6 winners correctly.
Friday’s sequence kicked off in Race 4 when veteran rider Mike Luzzi engineered a winning trip aboard the Patrick Quick-trained Dutchess of N Y [No. 3, $61.50] to break her maiden for a $20,000 tag.
Half Birthday [No. 7, $10.60] made her ninth start a winning one in Race 5 traveling six furlongs over the outer turf for a $40,000 tag. Hall of Famer Javier Castellano piloted the 3-year-old Freud filly for trainer Tom Morley.
Lady by Choice [No. 2, $12.60] captured the middle leg in Race 6, picking up her 12th career victory in the seven-furlong $10,000 claiming event. Luis Rodriguez Castro guided the winner for trainer Oscar Barerra III.
Trevor McCarthy and trainer Chris Englehart teamed up to win Race 7 with Forestwood Lane [No. 6, $14], who sprinted to victory for a $16,000 tag. The Overanalyze gelding picked up his second straight win.
In the penultimate leg, Pipeline [No. 1, $3.60] defeated winners for the first time going a one-turn mile in Race 8 under Manny Franco for trainer Chad Brown.
With the carryover already confirmed, Mighty Meister [No. 11, $29.60] took the Race 9 finale in gate-to-wire fashion under Raul Mena for trainer Alcina Rawles.
Saturday's Pick 6 kicks off in Race 5 at 3:26 p.m. Eastern and will include the $200,000 NYSSS Times Square in Race 8 and the $100,000 Woodhaven in Race 9. First post is 1:20 p.m.
