Friday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $30,248 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Sunday’s nine-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $387.50 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Sunday’s sequence kicked off in Race 4 as Centavo [No. 3, $31.60] rallied to victory in a nine-furlong starter allowance for older horses as the longest shot on the board. Gokhan Kocakaya piloted the winner for owner-trainer Naipaul Chatterpaul.
Kaz Sugar Bank [No. 6, $7.20] arrived in the final jumps to capture Race 5, a seven-furlong allowance sprint for older New York-breds, with Jomar Torres aboard for trainer Dimitrios Synnefias.
In Race 6, a 6 1/2-furlong maiden special weight sprint for sophomore fillies, the Jose Lezcano-piloted Daughter of Time [No. 7, $7.60] graduated at second asking for trainer Charlton Baker.
Newport Bridge [No. 3, $9.10], with Luis Rivera, Jr. up for trainer Wayne Potts, scored in Race 7, a six-furlong claiming sprint for older horses, one race before the Brad Cox-trained and Manny Franco-piloted Coppa Girl [No. 7, $5*] notched a nine-furlong allowance optional-claiming score for older fillies and mares in Race 8.
With only one horse covered in the Race 9 finale, a one-turn mile maiden for New York-bred sophomores, Saint Gaudens [No. 9, $8.50] triggered the carryover by romping to an impressive score with Franco in the irons for trainer Chad Brown.
Friday’s Pick 6 begins in Race 3 at 2:20 p.m. Eastern. First post on the eight-race card is 1:20 p.m.
