Horseplayers will be greeted with a three-day Pick 6 carryover of $175,909 when live racing returns at Aqueduct Racetrack on Thursday, December 20.
Sunday's Pick 6 sequence began in Race 4 as post-time favorite Show Prince (No. 7, $4.20) won the opening leg. Trainer Joe Parker followed up in Race 5 to pick up his first win of the winter meet for owner Barry Ostrager at odds of 12-1 with Summer Punch (No. 8, $24).
In Race 6, Playwright (No. 3, $12.80) gave jockey Manny Franco his third win on the card. The biggest price of the day came in Race 7 as Testosterone (No. 6, $50.50) won at odds of 24-1 for trainer Gary Sciacca and Yellow Moon Stable.
Blindwillie McTell (No. 6, $7.50) captured the day's feature, the $150,000 New York Stallion Series Great White Way in Race 8.
In the day's finale, 12-1 longshot Dirty Bird (No. 4, $23.20) secured the Pick 6 carryover dashing away in the final yards on the sloppy main track.
A consolation payout of $7,085 was awarded to bettors who had five of six winners in the Pick 6.
When live racing resumes on Thursday, the Pick 6 will begin in Race 3 with an approximate post of 1:47 p.m. The day's feature race will be a New York-bred allowance race for 3-year-olds and up at one mile carded as Race 7.
