Update regarding Pick 6 wager on Friday at Aqueduct

by NYRA Press Office

There will not be a two-day Pick 6 carryover on Saturday's live racing program at Aqueduct Racetrack.

After the broadcast of Race 9 results, which correctly showed 6-of-6 and 5-of-6 payouts for the Pick 6, the NYRA television feed briefly displayed a notice stating that there was a carryover of $61,486 going into Saturday's live racing card.

The issue arose in Race 9 with a single ticket being live on Iwishirish (No. 9), which was scratched from the race. With the scratch of Iwishirish, the $2 bet on the horse for the sequence was moved to the post-time favorite, Woundwithhereyes (No. 6), who won the race.

The win triggered a $2 payout as the single winning ticket for $61,486. The 5-of-6 consolation $2 payout was $951.

NYRA and AmTote are currently in the process of discussing alternative ways to broadcast Will Pays for multi-race wagers with scratched horses to alleviate situations such as these going forward.
