Saturday’s nine-race card at Aqueduct Racetrack will feature a Pick 6 carryover of $19,729 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Friday’s eight-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $176.25 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 horses correctly.
Friday’s sequence began in Race 3 with the Chris Englehart-trained Dreamawayseven [No. 4, $39.40] capturing a seven-furlong starter optional claimer under Trevor McCarthy, who scored a double when guiding the Bill Morey-trained Always Laughing [No. 6, $9.30] to a $30,000 claiming victory in Race 4 over the turf.
Omar Hernandez Moreno engineered a winning ride aboard Dontbelate [No. 2B, $19.20] for conditioner Randi Persaud in Race 5, a one-turn mile $12,500 claimer, one race before Bill Morey scored his second win on the card with the Manny Franco-piloted Cadencia [No. 5, $6.80] in Race 6.
Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott enjoyed a six-furlong optional claiming score with Nova Rags [No. 7, $5.70*] in Race 7 after Junior Alvarado guided the son of Union Rags to an off-the-pace victory.
With just one horse covered in Race 8, Kendrick Carmouche piloted Drink the Wind [No. 2, $4.50*] to victory for trainer Linda Rice in the final leg, a $14,000 claiming tilt, to trigger the carryover.
Saturday’s Pick 6 sequence will begin in Race 4 at 2:56 p.m. Eastern. First post is 1:20 p.m.
