Sunday’s card at Aqueduct Racetrack will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $36,536 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Saturday’s 10-race card.
Saturday's $1 Pick 6 returned $4,059.50 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
The sequence kicked off in Race 5 – a one-mile $25,000 claimer – as Manny Franco piloted Advanced Strategy [No. 8, $6.10*] to a 3 3/4-length victory for trainer Rudy Rodriguez.
Franco scored again with St. Elias Stable’s New York-bred Signal Corps [No. 8, $4.60*], posting a six-furlong debut maiden win in Race 6 for Hall of Fame trainer Todd Pletcher.
The Marcelo Arenas owned and trained Royal Tryst [No. 1A, $12.20]launched a late rally to secure his sixth career triumph in Race 7, a 6 1/2-furlong allowance event. Jason Huayas engineered the victory.
Juan Avila saddled Little Vic [No. 7, $15] to a graded stakes triumph in the Grade 3 Tom Fool Handicap in Race 8 going six furlongs. The five-time winning Practical Joke bay was ridden by Carlos Olivero.
In the featured event, the Grade 3, $300,000 Gotham [Race 9], Jose Lezcano piloted Raise Cain [No. 8, $49] to an upset triumph for trainer Ben Colebrook. The winner picked up 50 points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby.
With the carryover already confirmed, the sequence concluded in Race 10, a six-furlong starter allowance event, with the Jose Gomez-piloted Braciole [No. 5, $20] earning a first win off the claim for trainer Oscar Barerra III.
Sunday’s Pick 6 will kick off in Race 4 at 2:55 p.m. Eastern. First post for the nine-race card is 1:20 p.m.
