Ruperto Ceville's "Grand Mondays" selection(s) fail to deliver

Ruperto Ceville, 51, won The New York Racing Association, Inc.'s (NYRA) 10th and final "Grand Mondays" promotion, which rewarded one lucky fan with a $1,000 win wager on a horse of his or her choosing, but failed to cash when his horses ran second and third.
Monday's seventh race at Aqueduct Racetrack provided Ceville, a bus operator from Brooklyn, with the enviable proposition of getting 2 for 1 with his $1,000 bet - since there was a coupled entry in the race - though neither was able to deliver him the windfall he had hoped for.
After tracking the early pace, Carameaway (No. 1) stayed on well in the lane to hold second but was overmatched by victorious Miss Da Point. Her entrymate, Dreaming of Cara (No. 1A), lagged behind the early leaders, was put to a drive around the far turn, and passed a few horses in the lane to finish third.
