The Stewards' Corner

Welcome to the Stewards’ Corner, where you will find explanations of the decisions that our stewards make on race days. Directly following any decision they make having to do with the official order of finish, including inquiries and objections, the stewards – one appointed by The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA), one appointed by the New York State Gaming Commission, and one appointed by The Jockey Club (TJC) – provide an explanation of what happened and the reason for their decision. Race Decisions - December 10, 2011

RACE 3: Jockeys objection for alleged interference out of the gate. The # 3 Side Road ( A Garcia) claims foul for alleged interference from the # 4 Hakama (R Dominguez) after leaving the gate. After reviewing the video the claim of foul was disallowed and the race is official as is.


RACE 4: Jockeys objection for alleged whip interference thru the stretch #7 Hillsboro Bay (D Cohen ) while drifting out several paths into #9, claims foul  against #9  Amylimehouse ( I Ortiz Jr ) . After reviewing the race replay race declared official as is .


RACE 5: Jockeys objection #1 Fight for V L T’s (C C Lopez) against # 6 Brazen Kat (C Velasquez) for alleged interference thru the stretch. After reviewing the replay of the stretch run Stewards declared race official as is.
