Breakfast at Belmont returns for 2019 spring/summer meet

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) is pleased to announce the popular "Breakfast at Belmont" program will return on Saturday, May 11, for the first of 12 editions throughout the Belmont spring/summer meet, over five separate weekends.
Hosted by NYRA TV analyst and handicapper Anthony Stabile, "Breakfast at Belmont" provides the opportunity for fans to enjoy trackside breakfast in the Belmont Café while watching horses train on the historic main track. There will also be a free paddock show will hosted by Michelle Velasquez, daughter of Hall of Fame jockey Jorge Velazquez. After breakfast, guests are invited to take a free tram tour through Belmont Park’s backstretch area weather permitting.
Beginning at 8 a.m., "Breakfast at Belmont" will be offered Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 25 through Memorial Day, May 27; Father's Day Weekend, Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16; Mother's Day Weekend, June 29 and June 30; as well as Stars & Stripes Festival Saturday, July 6.
"This program is a wonderful way to introduce racing to young people, and an eye-opening experience for the whole family," said Stabile. "'Breakfast at Belmont' is a great way to see the stars of our sport and enjoy behind-the-scenes access to one of the most historic places in all of racing".
In addition to the breakfast buffet, NYRA provides guests with a guided tram tour of the Belmont Park barn area, as well as educational demonstrations of the paddock and starting gate. The barn area tour and all demonstrations are free of charge and do not require reservations.
There is no charge for parking and the program begins at 8:00 a.m.
