The Pick 6 sequence went unsolved for a second straight day Saturday at Belmont Park, resulting in a double carryover of $89,989 heading into Sunday’s card.

Saturday’s sequence commenced with the first of two straight wins for jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr., who piloted Fierce Scarlett (No. 6) to a win in Race 5, returning $4.30 on a $2 win bet. Ortiz then registered a milestone win in Race 6, earning his 2,000th career victory aboard Gambler’s Fallacy (No. 8, $6.50).

Tiznow’s Smile (No. 5) pulled off the day’s biggest upset, winning at 33-1 odds for trainer Charlton Baker, paying $68.00 in Race 7. Peaches and Spice (No. 1) returned $20.20 in Race 8, while Californiagoldrush (No. 7) captured the Grade 2, $400,000 Sands Point for 3-year-old fillies in the penultimate Race 9, paying $8.30.

Timeless Beauty’s (No. 8, $6.50) late surge led to victory in the 10th-race finale, triggering the carryover into Sunday’s nine-race card, where the Pick 6 will start with Race 4 with an approximate post time of 3:09 p.m. First post is slated for 1:30 p.m.

A consolation payout of $2,410 was awarded to bettors who has five of six winners.
