Live racing cancelled on Friday at Belmont Park due to heavy rainfall

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) canceled live racing on Friday, May 3 at Belmont Park following the fourth race due to extremely heavy rainfall which caused unfavorable track conditions.

The featured Flat Out, initially slated for Race 8 on Friday's card, will be rescheduled for Thursday, May 9th. The Pick 6 which started in Race 4 will be refunded.

Belmont Pak will remain open for simulcasting and online wagering is available through NYRA Bets.

Live racing will resume on Saturday, May 4 at Belmont Park with a 12-race card highlighted by the Grade 2, $200,000 Sheepshead Bay; the Grade 3, $150,000 Fort Marcy; and the Grade 3, $200,000 Westchester.

First post on Saturday is noon with gates opening at 10:00 a.m. including full simulcast coverage of the Grade 1 Kentucky Derby from Churchill Downs.
