NYRA announces October post time adjustments for Belmont Park

The New York Racing Association (NYRA) today announced adjusted post times for the month of October at Belmont Park.

Beginning on Wednesday, October 2, live racing on weekdays at Belmont will shift to a first post of 1:15 p.m. Eastern.

Weekend racing at Belmont in October for cards with nine races will start at 1:15 p.m., while cards with 10 races will offer a 12:45 p.m. first post and 11-race cards will commence at 12:20 p.m.

To account for live racing on Columbus Day, Monday, October 14, that week will feature a Thursday-Monday schedule from October 10-14.

The lucrative 38-day Belmont Park fall meet, highlighted by seven Breeders' Cup "Win and You're In" events along with 45 stakes worth $11.525 million in purse money, kicked off on Friday, September 6 and will continue through Closing Day Sunday, October 27.

The Belmont Café will be open for simulcasting on live race days at 11 a.m., Wednesday through Sunday, as well as Monday, October 14, and will close for the remainder of 2019 at the conclusion of racing on October 27.
