NYRA teams up with NYU Winthrop to promote Breast Cancer awareness

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) hosted leaders and supporters of NYU Winthrop's Breast Health Center at Belmont Park on Saturday for an event and fundraiser to promote breast cancer awareness and encourage early detection as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Today's events at Belmont Park included a sold out luncheon attended by more than 150 people with a portion of the proceeds of ticket sales going to NYU Winthrop's Breast Health Center; the sale of past giveaways from NYRA's three racetracks - Belmont, Saratoga and Aqueduct - to raise money for the center; and Race 4 was dedicated to the NYU Winthrop Breast Health Center with a check presentation to representatives of the center in the winner's circle following the race.
This is the third consecutive year NYRA and NYU Winthrop have joined together to support this important initiative.
