Pick 6 carryover of $26K into Friday’s nine-race card at Belmont Park

by Mary Eddy

Friday’s card at Belmont Park will feature a Pick 6 carryover of $26,601 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday’s program.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $340.50 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Thursday’s sequence began in Race 4 with Eric Cancel guiding Boom Boom Kaboom [No. 10, $7.20] to victory in his first start against winners, taking a six-furlong claiming sprint on the inner turf for trainer George Weaver.

Citizen K [No. 3, $6.50] captured Race 5, taking the six-furlong state-bred turf maiden special weight to break his maiden by a neck under Jose Ortiz for trainer Horacio De Paz.

Race 6 saw Raffinity [No. 8, $8.90] improve from a fourth last out to secure his second career victory for trainer Robert Falcone, Jr. with Manny Franco in the irons. Andrew Wolfsont guided Repo Rocks [No. 3, $10.60] to a strong optional claiming victory sprinting six furlongs in Race 7 in his first start for trainer Gregory DiPrima.

The largest price in the sequence came when Dylan Davis guided graded stakes-placed Its All Relevant [No. 7, $27.40] to a frontrunning score in Race 8, the Elmont Starter Handicap, for trainer Rudy Rodriguez.

With only three horses covered in the last leg, Celine the Queen [No. 6, $8.90] gave trainer Rudy Rodriguez the late double and triggered the carryover when apprentice rider Jose Gomez guided the 3-year-old filly to a maiden claiming victory over the inner turf in Race 9.

Friday’s Pick 6 sequence will begin in Race 4 at 2:52 p.m. Eastern. First post for the nine-race card is 1:20 p.m.
