Saturday at Belmont to feature $113K two-day Pick 6 carryover

Friday’s Pick 6 at Belmont Park went unsolved, triggering a double carryover of $113,261 into Saturday’s card, featuring the Grade 2, $300,000 Kelso Handicap.

On Friday, Indy Union ($16.20) kicked off the sequence in Race 5 and was followed by Discretionary Marq (No. 8, $9.10) in Race 6, the favored Flyoff (No. 11, $6.30) in Race 7, and flashed serious carryover potential when Flat Calm (No. 8, $42.40) held on by a half-length to win Race 8 at odds of 20-1.

Post-time favorite Frosted Ice (No. 8, $5.90) delivered with a victory in Race 9, the $150,000 Bertram F. Bongard for 2-year-old New York-breds. The Pick 6 concluded in the day’s finale with The Sheik of Araby (No. 12, $10.60) in Race 10.

Friday’s sequence returned $961 for tickets with 5-of-6 winners.

Saturday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 5 with a scheduled post time of 3:38 p.m. ET and will include the Grade 2, $300,000 Kelso Handicap in Race 8. First post for Saturday’s 10-race card is 1:30.
