Sunday live racing cancelled at Belmont Park

Due to a powerful coastal storm forecast to bring heavy rain and damaging winds to Long Island throughout the day, the New York

Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) has cancelled live racing at Belmont Park for Sunday, October 29.

Belmont Park and Aqueduct Racetrack will remain open for simulcasting.

Live racing will resume on Friday, November 3rd at Aqueduct Racetrack with a first post of 12:20 p.m. Opening day of the Fall meet at Aqueduct features a 10-race card  highlighted by the Grade 3, $150,000 Tempted Stakes for 2-year-old fillies.

Sunday's scheduled stakes will now be run on the opening weekend at Aqueduct. The $100,000 Chelsey Flower will be run on Saturday. The $100,000 Pumpkin Pie will be run on Sunday.
