New York racing fans at Belmont Park and Aqueduct Racetrack on Saturday, May 18, can watch Kentucky Derby winner Orb take on a bevy of challengers when he competes in the 138th running of the Grade 1 Preakness at Pimlico Race Course.

Belmont and Aqueduct will offer simulcast wagering on the Preakness and all 13 races at Pimlico on May 18. On Friday, May 17, Belmont and Aqueduct patrons can watch and wager on the Grade 2 Black-Eyed Susan and Grade 3 Pimlico Special and the rest of Pimlico’s card that day. Wagering for both days is also available through Telebet and NYRARewards.com.

In addition, advance wagering on the Preakness will be available on Friday, as well as the Pimlico Special-Preakness Double. NYRA will not accept wagers on Pimlico’s jockey challenge on May 17 and advance wagering is not available through NYRA’s mobile platform.

On Preakness Day, doors and all betting windows will open at 10:15, with parking lots opening at 10 a.m.

On Friday, the two facilities will open at the usual time, 11 a.m. Parking gates open at 10:45. Self-service machines and voucher sellers will open at 11:30 a.m., with live tellers opening at 12:15 p.m.

Belmont will offer live racing on May 17 and May 18 with a first post time of 1:05 p.m. The May 18 card will be highlighted by the Grade 2 Vagrancy Handicap for filly and mare sprinters and will include a $300,000 Guaranteed Late Pick 4.

The final Long Island Rail Road train from Belmont Park will depart 30 minutes after the Pimlico Special and the Preakness, rather than the regularly scheduled departure time approximately 30 minutes after the final race at Belmont Park. A full schedule is available at here.

Belmont Park will host the final leg of the Triple Crown when it conducts the Grade 1, $1 million Belmont Stakes on June 8.

The Belmont spring/summer meet runs through July 14. Live racing is generally conducted Wednesday through Sunday. Belmont Park will be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, with no live racing on Tuesday and Wednesday that week. Belmont Park will also be closed for live racing on Sunday, June 9, and Wednesday, July 10. Except for Belmont Stakes Day, general grandstand admission and admission to the Belmont Café simulcast area is $3, clubhouse admission is $5, and general parking is free.
