Ironicus sets course record in G2 Bernard Baruch

Following some initial hesitation after a gut-wrenching second-place finish in the Grade 2 Fourstardave, Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey pointed Ironicus to Monday's Grade 2, $250,000 Bernard Baruch, thinking that the lightly-raced colt deserved another chance at Saratoga Race Course. The 4-year-old son of Distorted Humor did not disappoint his connections, setting a course record in the final turf stakes of the meet at the Spa.
