SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Thursday's Pick 6 will be boosted by a $29,825 carryover as the multi-race wager went unsolved on Wednesday at Saratoga Race Course.
The favored Just Fly (No. 7, $6.20), with Luis Saez up for Joe Sharp, took the opening leg of Friday's Pick 6 sequence, a Maiden Allowance Auction Series event contested on the main track. In Race 6, 7-1 shot Ardara Belle (No. 4, $16.40) stayed the course for jockey Ricardo Santana, Jr. and trainer Rob Atras, as 2-5 mutuel favorite Matzo Bella missed the board.
In the third leg, main-track only entrant Off the Record (No. 3, $6.60), a WinStar Farm homebred, made a winning debut under Jose Ortiz for trainer Rodolphe Brisset. Slimey (No, 4, $32.40), the longest shot on the board at 15-1, rallied under Jose Lezcano to win Race 8 for trainer David Cannizzo. In the penultimate leg, Special Relativity (No. 1, $16.20), collared the free-wheeling Carrera Cat at odds of 7-1.
In Race 10, even-money favorite Violent Point (No. 9, $4.20) romped gate-to-wire for a maiden win under Hall of Famer John Velazquez.
Five of six winners returned $1,988.
Thursday's Pick 6 sequence at Saratoga will get underway in Race 5 with a post time of 3:28 p.m. ET. Wagering on the Pick 6 is available through NYRA Bets, on-track, and at simulcast facilities across the country.
