Friday's Pick 6 will be boosted by a $52,107 carryover, as the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday at Saratoga Race Course.
Thursday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off with 5-2 Tiple (No. 3, $7.40) winning a second-level claiming allowance event contested on the Mellon turf course with Irad Ortiz, Jr. up for conditioner Christophe Clement. In Race 6, 5-1 choice I Love Jaxson (No. 7, $13.60) came from off the pace, passing Curlin's Knight (No. 6) in the stretch for jockey Chris Landeros and trainer Michael Miceli.
In the third leg, an optional-claiming allowance for New York-breds 3-years-old and upward going one mile on the inner turf, Wish Upon (No. 9, $14.80) won impressively by 1 ¼ lengths for owner That's Amore Stable and trainer John Terranova.
In Race 8, post-time favorite Empressof the Nile (No. 1A, $4.20) secured the victory by a neck with Irad Ortiz, Jr. in the irons for conditioner Graham Motion.
In the penultimate leg, the $100,000 Birdstone, King Zachary, (No. 6, $18.80) with Hall of Fame rider Johnny Velazquez aboard, broke a longstanding track record completing 1 ¾ miles in 2:52.97.
In Race 10, Saltking (No. 7, $13) completed the day's card with Chris Landeros aboard for conditioner Mark Hennig.
Five of six winners returned $2,171.
