Saratoga Live to present in-depth coverage of Jim Dandy

by NYRA Press Office

NYRA's flagship TV show "Saratoga Live" presented by Claiborne Farm, will provide in-depth coverage of Saturday's showdown between Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming and Preakness winner Cloud Computing in the Grade 2, $600,000 Jim Dandy, presented by NYRA Bets.

The traditional prep race for the Grade 1 Travers features the winners of the first two legs of the Triple Crown for the first time. The five-horse field will head to the starting gate in the Jim Dandy at approximately 6:18 p.m.

The 54th running of the Jim Dandy, the fourth graded stakes of the day, anchors Saturday's "Saratoga Live" program, which will air nationally on FS2 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The show broadcasts from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on MSG+, FOX Sports Prime Ticket, FOX Sports San Diego, and FOX Sports Ohio.

Saturday's card includes the Grade 1, $350,000 Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap with an expected post time of 5:02 p.m., the Grade 2, $200,000 Amsterdam with a scheduled post time of 3:15 p.m. and the Grade 2, $250,000 Bowling Green with a listed post time of 5:40 p.m.

One year after launching "Saratoga Live" at the 2016 Saratoga summer meet, NYRA has expanded its coverage in 2017, adding new regional markets in California and Ohio via agreements with FOX Sports Prime Ticket, FOX Sports San Diego, and FOX Sports Ohio. With these arrangements and existing deals with FS2, MSG+, and Altitude Sports, "Saratoga Live" is now available in 75 million households, resulting in more programming hours of live thoroughbred racing than all other television networks in the United States combined.

The 2017 meet at historic Saratoga Race Course, which includes 69 stakes worth $18.775 million in purses, runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 4. Racing is conducted six days a week, Wednesdays through Mondays.

Saratoga Live will be broadcast nearly every day of the meet from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and features a broadcast team that includes host Greg Wolf, handicapper Andy Serling, analysts Paul Lo Duca and Gabby Gaudet, paddock analyst Maggie Wolfendale, and trainer Tom Amoss.
