Saratoga Race Course to host job fair for 2023 summer meet

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will host a job fair from June 22 - 24 for individuals interested in serving fans this summer at one of the country’s most historic and popular sports venues: Saratoga Race Course.
The three-day job fair will be conducted inside the 1863 Club at Saratoga Race Course on Thursday, June 22 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, June 23 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, June 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Applicants should enter through the Wright Street entrance (Gate 8) with parking available in the 1863 Club lot.
Job fair opportunities will include the following positions: bartenders; Bets Squad representatives; betting clerks; box office personnel; bussers; cashiers; cleaners; concession supervisors; cooks; guest services representatives; hospitality ambassadors; merchandise clerks; parking attendants; porters; security guards; technology interns; ticket scanners; waitstaff; warehouse workers; and white caps/ushers.
Opportunities are available with NYRA, All Pro, AmTote International, Dyehard Fan Supply, Integrated Staffing, Levy Restaurants, Mazzone Hospitality and Union Square Events, among others.
Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and have New York State Certified Working Papers. Prospective security guards, cashiers and betting clerks must be at least 18 years of age to apply; security guards must have a high school degree or GED. All applicants must present a photo ID and Social Security card or I-9 alternative.
Highlighted by the 154th edition of the Grade 1, $1.25 million Travers on August 26 and the Grade 1, $1 million Whitney on August 5, the 2023 summer meet at historic Saratoga Race Course will open on Thursday, July 13, and continue through Monday, September 4.
Following the four-day opening weekend, racing will be conducted five days a week, Wednesdays through Sundays, apart from closing week, when the meet will conclude on Labor Day.
