Pick 6 carryover of $38K on Sunday at Belmont at the Big A
Sunday’s card at Belmont at the Big A will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $38,706 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Saturday’s 11-race program.
The $1 Pick 6 returned $121.25 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.
Saturday's Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 6 with a win from Jackie the Joker [No. 4, $7.10] in a seven-furlong claimer with Jose Lezcano aboard to secure a training double for Jimmy Ferraro after Blue Pill upset Race 5.
Hall of Fame-rider Javier Castellano navigated the Carlos Martin-trained Celtic Dawn [No. 5, $3.38*] to victory in the six-furlong outer turf $150,000 NYSSS Cupecoy’s Joy, in Race 7. The next race saw Lezcano pilot Tiz the Lady [No. 8, $14.46] to score in a one-mile turf maiden claimer for Hall of Fame-trainer Shug McGaughey, in Race 8.
In Race 9, a one-turn mile claimer, Dylan Davis visited the winner’s circle aboard Unlimitedpotential [No. 2, $7.34] for trainer Orlando Noda. In Race 10, a six-furlong outer turf starter optional claimer, Mission Improbable [No. 2, $58.28] launched a 28-1 upset under jockey Ricardo Santana, Jr. for conditioner Rodolphe Brisset.
With the carryover already guaranteed ahead of the Race 11 finale, a one-mile turf maiden for New York-breds, Sir Oscar [No. 9, $4.90*] prevailed under Manny Franco for trainer George Weaver.
Sunday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 4 at approximately 2:36 p.m. Eastern. First post for the nine-race card is 1:10 p.m.
