Elegant attire has long been a tradition at Belmont Park. Ladies & Gentlemen who honor this tradition are always appreciated. People 12 years and over must abide by the dress code.
Shirts and shoes required.
Proper attire at management’s discretion.
No short shorts, cut-offs or abbreviated wear permitted.
Gentlemen: No tank tops.
No shorts or abbreviated wear permitted.
Gentlemen: collared shirts required.
Gentlemen: Collared shirts are required. Jackets are not required but strongly encouraged.
Ladies: Suits, dresses, pant suits.
No shorts or abbreviated wear permitted at any time.
Gentlemen: Collared shirts required. Jackets are recommended but optional.
Ladies: Dress, slacks or pant suits.
No jeans or shorts.
Gentlemen: Jackets and blazers optional.
Cargo shorts, t-shirts, halter tops, midriff tops, athletic wear, frayed or torn jeans/denim or shorts and tennis shoes are not permitted.
Large coolers and alcoholic beverages are not permitted to be brought into Belmont Park, with the exception of the reserved Top of the Stretch picnic areas. Coolers larger than 12”x6”x12” will be permitted for Top of the Stretch ticket holders only. Top of the Stretch ticket holders with coolers must enter the park via the Grandstand West entrance, adjacent to the Top of the Stretch sections.
The following items are not permitted for entry to the racetrack. Guests will be encouraged to return any prohibited items to their vehicles or discard them before entering the facility.
Note: there is no storage area for any items. Guests arriving by public transportation should take particular care not to bring any prohibited items as no exceptions will be made.
Building, Apron, & Backyard:
Tickets may not be resold or offered for resale at a premium in excess of the amount allowed by any Federal, State or local law or regulation; the NYS legislature prohibits any resale of tickets within 1,000 feet of our property line. Ticket buyers can log into their Account Manager account to implement a ticket resale option.
If racing is cancelled, for any reason, after five (5) races have been run, there are no refunds or exchanges of any kind.
Only service animals are permitted on the premises.
