Pick 6 carryover of $29K on Friday at Belmont Park

Friday’s card at Belmont Park will be bolstered by a Pick 6 carryover of $29,289 after the multi-race wager went unsolved on Thursday’s eight-race card.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $4,881.55 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Thursday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 3 with the 45-1 longshot Kinetic [No. 2, $93.16] capturing a one-turn mile optional claimer under jockey Samuel Marin for trainer Ilkay Kantarmaci. In Race 4, a 1 1/16-mile claimer on the Widener turf, Jose Lezcano navigated Spinning Class [No. 9, $8.28] to victory for Hall of Fame conditioner Shug McGaughey.

Kendrick Carmouche then guided the Linda Rice-trained Baseball Lady [No. 2, $32.06] to victory in a one-turn mile state-bred allowance in Race 5. In Race 6, a one-turn claiming mile, Carmouche scored a double with the Michelle Nevin-trained Pineapple Man [No. 1, $7.86].

In Race 7, a seven-furlong state-bred starter allowance on the Widener turf, Marin earned a riding double when guiding Counter Move [No. 9, $23.30] to victory for trainer George Weaver.

With the carryover already guaranteed heading into the Race 8 finale – a state-bred six-furlong maiden claimer on the inner turf – Eye on the Ball [No. 11, $9.46] coasted to victory under Lezcano for trainer Chris Englehart to complete the sequence.

Friday’s Pick 6 will begin in Race 4 at approximately 2:57 p.m. Eastern. First post is 1:10 p.m. for the nine-race card, which features the Grade 2, $250,000 Beldame in Race 2.
